Recently we held a class meeting to discuss the problme of passers-by crossing the street while the traffic light is red，and all of us reached an agreement that it was dangerous to run the red light. We can illustrate it from the following points of views. First of all, the jaywalkers will hinder the traffic which affects the normal driving of vehicles. What is more, it's easy to cause accident, you will put yourself and others in danger. Last but not least, it isn't good for people to form the habit of obeying the traffic rules.
In order to decrease the number of jaywalkers andraise their awareness of the importance of observing the traffic regulations. We have come up with some penalties, such as giving them a lesson, so that they can realize the harmfulness of jaywalking or warning and fining them to remember the consequence of it.

THE IMPORTANCE OF HANDWRITING
We live in a world dominated by computers which enable us to get away from the seemingly time-consuming handwriting. However, as people type faster and faster, we cannot deny the fact that more people attach too little importance on handwriting and their handwriting gets poorer and poorer as a result, especially among our youth. Actually, handwriting is still necessary and important nowadays not only in that we need it in our everyday life but also because handwriting can affect the impression we make on other people.
First, our life cannot go without handwriting. For example, we must sign our names on cheques to show that we are responsible for it and most of all, to prevent duplication. Further more, as there will never be another carbon copy exactly the same as the original piece of one's handwriting, people express their recognition and more often than not their emotion when they write a person a letter by hand. That's why most of us prefer a hand-written love letter to a typed one.
Second, a good handwriting makes its reader feel good, and because no two men's handwritings is the same, just like everyone's characteristic is different, people tend to judge a person's personality by his or her handwriting. When scoring students' exam papers, a clean, neat paper with a good handwriting often gets higher marks than one with a poor handwriting even their contents are virtually the same. Similarly, when people meet a person's writing before they meet the real person, they will unconsciously picture the person's image and characteristic based on the handwriting.
